Most of the activities of the group are centered on the use of Coherent Smith-Purcell radiation (CSPR) to measure longitudinal profiles of relativistic electron bunches.
E-203: E-203 is an experiment on the FACET Linac at SLAC. Its aim is to measure the longitudinal profile of sub-picosecond electron bunches using Coherent Smith-Purcell radiation. The E-203 collaboration gathers scientists from the University of Oxford, IFIC (Valencia, Spain), Los Alamos National Laboratory, SLAC and LAL.
SPESO: The Smith-Purcell Experiment at SOLEIL (SPESO) aims at making an accurate 5D measurement of Coherent Smith-Purcell radiation. The experiment is installed at the end of the SOLEIL Linac.
